Clark Lacrosse_Clothing

Clark Alumni, Family and Friends,

Below is our new fundraising clothing website for Clark Lacrosse. The prices are much lower than last year and we have access to every item on the website. Logos are free and 20% of the sales go directly to the lacrosse program. The website will be up until Christmas so you can get some early shopping done.

I would recommend the Premium MM Hoodie sweatshirts in grey or black or the Turf-Dri short and long sleeve T-shirts.

Thanks again for all the support.

Fwd: Clark Lacrosse Alumni Game Saturday 2pm

Gentleman,
I hope to see as many of you that can make it on Saturday for 2pm. It will be very casual and a great way to get back in touch with everyone. Plenty of younger players are planning on coming so for us players who are not in the shape we once were, we don't even have to play to be a part of the day. Please feel free to call with any questions.
Thanks
Jeff

Roche ends career amongst the best of all time

Shawn Roche from Centerport, NY, is now the all-time scoring leader for Clark University lacrosse.  He also became only the second player to score 100 goals.

Roche was named a Pilgrim League 2010 First Team All Conference.  Here is the press release from Clark.

His accomplishments are even more impressive when you consider the potentially life-changing injury he sustained a few years ago. Here is a nice writeup from his local paper Newsday that describes his path to success.

Panera Bread at the Alumni Game?

Maybe the co-founder, Chairman, and CEO of Panera Bread Company, Ronald M. Shaich, will be able to donate some free food for upcoming alumni event? Shaich graduated from Clark in 1976 so he actually predates the lacrosse program but he has served as a member of the Board of Trustees in the past according to his bio on the Panera website.
Shaich "began his first business on Clark's campus, running a successful convenience store for students." Read more:  Ron Shaich Biography - Newsmakers Cumulation
Here is an article from USA Today about his business plan that I learned about from Clark's twitter feed that is shown below on the right or here.

Have you always wanted to be a lacrosse official?

You can start officiating games this spring if you join the Eastern Massachusetts Lacrosse Officials Association (EMLOA).
Officiating is a rewarding experience.  You can get some exercise, help kids learn how to play the game, and make some pretty good cash.

Here is information from the EMLOA website
The EMLOA is offering trainings starting the last week of January.  There is a mandatory clinic for all EMLOA members on Sunday, March 7th. All new candidates must attend this as well.  All new members are subject to a CORI criminal record check.  This is mandatory.

Cost for first year officials is $275.  This includes dues ($85 – required of all EMLOA members), training class fee ($75) and a starter uniform package ($115).  If you are a football official with clean uniforms, you can subtract the cost of the starter package and substitute your football shirt and hat and get the rest of the gear on your own. Contact Matt Croteau if you are interested.

New Candidates Classes - 2010 - 3 Locations

EMLOA will be holding Classes for new candidates starting the last week of January, 2010. The classes are held at 3 separate locations and the same material is presented at each site. Any current member is invited to attend (no cost) to review for the coming season. Click link below for more detailed New Candidate information.

Holliston High School 4 Classes on Mondays, 6:30pm
January 25, Feb 1, 8, 22 (Test on Feb 22)
